The Supreme Court decisions of Citizens United and McCutcheon have unleashed powerful corporate and individual money into our political process unlike any time in our country’s history. Our democracy is in danger as our nation moves towards an oligarchy dominated by a rich and powerful elite. Come hear how we can restore American democracy so that all voices can be equally and respectfully heard—not just those voices who have the most money.

Jeff Clements is the president of American Promise and co-founder of Free Speech for People, organizations that are helping to lead the renewal of American democracy, equal citizenship, and effective self-government with a 28th Amendment to the US Constitution. Jeff is a constitutional lawyer and the author of Corporations Are Not People: Reclaiming Democracy From Big Money And Global Corporations.
